Description:  This position will be responsible for managing and architecting Tyan High Performance Computer platform software development and planning. The candidate will help to build the HPC SW team and performs porting standard Microsoft Computer Cluster System OS and Linux OS/kernels, distributions, drivers, and packages to run on TYAN hardware, with focus on Cluster SSI (Single System Image) Software Stack.

This position will also be required to lead the SW team and assist in system hardware bring-up activities involving the latest x86 64bits Hardware used in the TYAN HPC Platform Systems include Processors, Chipsets, Graphics Devices, High Performance Commodity IO Networking (Gbe, Infiniband etc) and Storage/File Systems.

Other responsibilities may include:

• Lead the analysis benchmark data (performance, scalability etc) and the tradeoff associated with cluster system elements (HW, FW, Middleware and SW)
• Manage 3rd party ISV. Work with ISV and 3rd parties to debug and resolve compatibility issues. Integrate 3rd party software into TYAN systems. Support ISV Applications and Benchmark on various HPC Platform Systems.
• Manage and implementing Platform System Management Software and System Diagnostic Testing Features; install and qualify various drivers and software packages on TYAN HPC Platform Systems; Port, compile, and repackage 3rd party and open source software.
• Work closely with team to assist in identifying, understanding, and resolving OS, Open Source kernel/distribution and drivers related bugs.
• This position may also require traveling.

Qualifications:

• Understanding cluster computer systems middleware. Experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading Windows and/or Linux Cluster Computer Systems.
• Capable of porting and re compiling open source codes.
• Hand-on experience on applying open source codes to x86 64bits Platform Systems.
• Understanding low level hardware, BIOS and IPMI, and experience with device drivers and kernel.
• Experience installing and configuring Gbe and Infiniband for MPI Interconnects.
  Strong shell scripting language experience, programming skills in MPI, Java, C, C++ etc.
• BS, MS or PhD. in CS/CE with minimum of 5 years experience. Prior engineer or project management experience is a plus

Description :  Handling incoming calls from customers who have Pre-Sales related questions about Tyan's product line; customers who have configuration and setup questions in regards to any of Tyan's product line;  as well as customers who have defective products and need to have RMA assistance to get the product fixed and returned. Hours are flexible from 25 to 35/week.

Qualifications :  Must have good customer service skills; some hardware configuration or troubleshooting skills; Windows/Linux OS experience is helpful; must be detailed oriented and able to handle a stressful environment with poise.
 

Description :  Lead the product design and support activities of Internet platforms including servers and workstation applications. Interface with OEM (Original Engineering Manufacturer) customers to define product specifications, modify existing products to fit customers' specific requirements and platforms, build prototype and set up production line. Analyze technology trends to design new products, modify and enhance existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.

Qualifications :  B.S. and/or M.S. in Electrical Engineering; 5 years' experience in job offered or as Engineering Manager in personal computer system circuit design.
