Computer Corporation today announced that its new
Tyan, a leading designer and manufacturer of Internet infrastructure products and system board solutions, is one of the first system board suppliers to bring this new technology to mass production. The Tomcat
i815T is the first of many "Tualatin" compatible platforms that Tyan will announce in the second half of 2001.
Designed around the Intel 815e(p) chipset, the Tomcat i815T supports a wide variety of
Intel processors, including their Socket 370-based Celeron processors, Pentium III processors, and new "Tualatin" series Pentium III processors. This "universal" design enables customers to configure
systems that address both performance and budgetary concerns. The Tomcat i815T also features three DIMM sockets, 4x AGP slot, six PCI slots and supports both ATA-100 drives and USB peripherals.
The Tomcat i815T
is available in two versions. The standard S2080 model, as well as the S2080GN model, featuring integrated AGP graphics and dual 10/100BaseT ports. The latter is available to OEMs and System Integrators exclusively.
