AMD today announced that the Tyan Thunder K8W (S2885) has been validated to support the new Opteron 248 processor. The newly released Opteron 248 processor is
designed for dual processing servers and workstations and features a 2.2GHz frequency, 1MB L2 cache, and 128-bit DDR400/333 memory support.
