Tyan® announces the Tachyon G9500 PRO, The Newest solution for the Mainstream Gamer -
The Latest Graphics Accelerator From Tyan® Delivers Innovative Features and User Friendly Applications
Fremont, CA, - March 17th, 2003 - Tyan® today launched its latest ATI®
RADEON based graphics accelerator, the Tachyon G9500 PRO. The Tachyon G9500 PRO targets the mainstream gamer and enthusiast with performance, scalability, and affordability.
The Tachyon G9500 PRO brings both the world of
Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0 and the speed of AGP 8X to gaming enthusiasts. With a 275MHz engine clock and 128MB of 540MHz DDR memory, it is a fast solution with an excellent price-performance ratio. Other
features include an 8-pixel rendering pipeline, an advanced cooling solution, 128-bit floating point color precision, ATI's HYDRAVISION software for multiple monitor display, and the latest OpenGL® support.
The signature feature of the Tachyon line is its hardware monitoring functionalities. The Tachyon line is the only ATI® RADEON based graphics solution that enables users to keep track of system settings.
Previous models of the Tachyon product line are monitored through the Tachyon Graphics Monitor Software 1.0, an application with an easy-to-use GUI. The Tachyon G9500 PRO is the first graphics card to have
the Tachyon Graphics Monitor Software 2.0, the newest version of the hardware monitoring software. Version 2.0 allows users not only to monitor key hardware indicators such as VPU temperature and voltage, but also to
regulate the fan speed on the card for optimal acoustics in the end user's PC environment.
"After the successful launch and recognition of the Tachyon G9700 PRO as the ultimate gaming experience, the Tachyon
G9500 PRO is the next step in our expansion of delivering cost-effective solutions with the latest technologies," said Crystal Chang, Manager of Business Development at Tyan. "Tyan is excited to bring forth a new
