February 19th, 2003 - Tyan® Computer announced today its focus on delivery of leading edge server platforms in 2004 that take advantage of PCI Express technology. Tyan
will work with Intel Corporation on implementing servers with PCI Express as the high performance interconnect for chip-to-chip and for dedicated slots. PCI Express is the industry's next generation
"Inside-the-Box" local I/O solution because it breaks through the natural limitations of parallel PCI technology. As a serial interconnect, PCI Express can offer high bandwidth, low latency, and cost
efficiency for servers and workstations. IT managers will be able to deploy PCI Express-based servers in 2004 that are scalable to support multiple years of system usage. Intel has previously announced
its plans to empower its chipsets with PCI Express technology as part of a transition to the serial I/O technology starting in 2004.

Tyan's announcement is another strong indicator of the growing industry momentum behind PCI Express
technology. With 1.0 PCI Express specifications released to the industry in July 2002, the industry is well underway with development of PCI Express products for the 2004 server, workstation, desktop, mobile, and
