INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM HOSTS TYAN'S LATEST SERVER AND WORKSTATION SOLUTIONS (Booth #: 449)
Tyan to Showcase Full Range of Platforms at IDF from
September 7th to 9th at San Francisco's Moscone Center
INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM, SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., September 7th, 2004 -
Tyan®, a world leader in motherboard technology, will showcase new products that include next-generation servers, workstations, and pre-built barebones systems based on the latest chipsets and
processors from Intel Corp., many of which feature support for Execute Disable Bit (EDB), EM64T (64-bit) and PCI Express technology. Tyan has been a regular exhibitor at the bi-annual Intel Developer Forum shows for a
number of years.
Among the items to be displayed are various dual Intel® Xeon™ and Intel® Pentium® 4 processor based
server and workstation motherboards ideal for value, enterprise, and high power computing requirements. These products have exceptionally high bandwidth and storage capabilities with multiple Gigabit Ethernet LAN
connections, multiple USB 2.0 ports, and Serial ATA. Next-generation entry and mid-range desktop/workstation motherboards with features such as Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire, and integrated audio will on be on exhibition
as well. Desktop solutions powered by Intel® Pentium® 4 include the high-processing 800MHz system bus, Hyper-Threading Technology, and
more.
Tyan's Transport line of barebones servers will also be on display at the Intel Developer Forum. Form factors include standard 1U rackmounts with multiple Gigabit Ethernet connections, hot-swap,
RAID-capable drive bays for SCSI and SATA, pre-installed CD-ROM drives, and multiple hardware monitoring and control features.
