Tyan® Computer Corp. today announced it will collaborate with Everex Systems, Inc. (Fremont, CA) on the development of a professional line of graphics workstations. Everex's new StepStation family of workstations will be based on system boards jointly developed by Everex and Tyan. The two companies have developed a customized dual Pentium III Xeon workstation system board based on Tyan's
Thunder X (S1952DLU)
design which will power the Everex StepStation 510 and 520 family of professional workstations.
With the StepStation family of systems, incorporating the 3D Labs Oxygen graphics accelerators, Everex will
deliver a high performance, cost effective solution for high end 3D modeling and animation applications. According to Dr. Symon Chang, President and CEO of Tyan, "This partnership leverages the strengths of both
