Tyan Tomahawk BX is a quality, high performance single processor system platform that supports the
powerful Intel PPGA-370 Celeron microprocessors. This board is designed around the Intel 440BX AGPset as well as VIA´s Apollo Pro Plus chipset. Please refer to the Motherboard CPU Compatibility Chart

The Tomahawk BX supports SPD SDRAM memory and ECC SDRAM. The board's PCI Local Bus and new
32-bit AGP bus provides high performance capabilities that are ideal for a wide range of demanding applications such as: basic business and general operations.
This integrated system board achieves the highest reliability and is based on an ATX form factor. Some of the features included are: on-board dual channel PCI IDE, on-board floppy controller, on-board high speed
I/O, Universal Serial Bus, on-board PS/2 mouse connector, on-board wavetable sound (optional), and on-board system mangement (optional).
Flexibility and expandibility are present in the Tomahawk BX. With I/O and drive controller support built on-board, the S1856S allows many upgrade paths not found on other boards.. With three 168-pin DIMM
sockets, the Tomahawk BX can provide a very flexible memory configuration of up to 768 MB SPD SDRAM or SDRAM+ECC in addition to the new 100 MHz SDRAMs. |
