Tyan Launches New Intel Platforms at Super Computing 2007 (SC'07)

Tyan's S5375 and GT20 (B5375) take advantage of Intel's next generation 45nm Xeon Processors.

SC'07, Sparks, NV, November 12th, 2007 - Tyan Computer, a worldwide leader in high performance server solutions, today announces the launch of several Intel 5100 series chipset platforms and barebone solutions supporting the next generation Intel Dual-Core & Quad-Core Xeon processors.  The latest Xeon processors are based on Intel's proprietary 45nm design process; which significantly increases the new platform's energy efficiency while still providing high performance output. Tyan products supporting the new Intel platform include the Tempest S5375 mainboard and the Transport GT20 B5375 barebone solution.

The S5375, a server/workstation platform, features eight (8) DDR2 DIMM slots to optimize memory bandwidth. Two (2) PCI-E x16 slots (one x16 & one x8 link). The x16 PCI-E slot can also be fully utilized for graphics cards and workstation applications offering greater functionality in demanding server and workstation applications.
