Tyan's Transport TA26 (B2882T26) Provides 64-bit Power and High Storage Flexibility in a 2U Form Factor
Fremont, CA, May 17th, 2004 - Today, scalability was redefined in the form of Tyan's Transport TA26 (B2882T26), the newest 64-bit dual AMD Opteron™ 2U rackmount solution available for departmental servers, storage applications, network data processing and media delivery usage. The Transport TA26 design delivers an unprecedented eight (8) 3.5" drive bays with hot-swap capability on a U320 SCSI backplane, a full suite of LED indicators, dual front access USB ports, and a slim CD-ROM that comes standard. Other substantial features include support for up to three (3) PCI-X cards for excellent device expandability, modular cooling fans for quick swap-out capability, and rear-mounted power supply sporting 460 watts of server power with PFC support. All of this packed into a full-size 26" depth chassis enclosure with tool-less access points for easy, efficient maintenance.
Based on an architecture that delivers high memory bandwidth with low latency, standard-setting 64-bit performance, and the implementation of HyperTransport™ technology, the Transport TA26 (B2882T26) enables customers to provide powerful solutions in a short amount of time. System-level features include support for up to 16GB of DDR400 (PC3200) Registered memory with ECC for server-class stability, built-in dual Gigabit and a single 10/100Mbps port, a built-in 8MB ATI® RAGE XL™ video controller, full suite of power management functions, and optional server management capability.
