Software summary
LS-Dyna is used extensively in the area of vehicle crash analysis. It is an advanced general purpose nonlinear finite element program capable of simulating complex real world problems. Implicit, Explicit, SMP and MPP imbedded in one code. Optimized on all platforms and can also run on MPP platforms. Unix, Linux, and PC based.
Test configuration
The TyanPSC T-360 used in the LS-DYNA benchmark test was configured with 8 AMD Opteron 246HE low power processors, 16GB of DDR ECC RAM, 4 160GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drives, a layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet Switch and using Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 edition.
The Tatung TUD-3114 used in the LS-DYNA benchmark tests was configured with 1 and 2 Intel Xeon 2.4G, 4G of RAM, using Linux Red Hat 9.0 and Windows 2000.
