AMI Flash Utility
Here are Three RULES regarding flash utility for AMI BIOS
- For LX and BX TYAN motherboards, you will need to use the flash2mb.com utility. These motherboards include: S1692, S1696, S1830, S1832, S1836, S1837, S1846, S1856, S1857bx, and S1952.
- For the older TYAN motherboards using the FX, EX, or earlier chipsets, you must use the flash1mb.com utility. You must also disable the System BIOS Cacheable option in the BIOS. If you don't disable this option, you will render the motherboard inoperable. These motherboards include: S1686, S1684, S1682, S1680, or earlier boards.
- For TYAN motherboards that use the 8xx Intel family of chipsets, you can use the amiflash utility. These motherboards include: S2054, S2056, S2060, S2080, S2090, S2257, S2420, S2510, S2515, S2518, S2520, S2567, S2688, S2720, S2721 and S2722.
NOTE: All the BIOS flash utilities are stored in compressed ZIP files. You will need a utility such as WinZip to properly extract the program before flashing your BIOS.
