Fremont, CA, November 19th, 2003 - AMD today announced that the Tyan Thunder K8W (S2885) has been validated to support the new Opteron™ 248 processor. The newly released Opteron™ 248 processor is designed for dual processing servers and workstations and features a 2.2GHz frequency, 1MB L2 cache, and 128-bit DDR400/333 memory support.
