Tyan® Introduces Barebones Systems and New Server Platforms at IDF
Intel Developer Forum, San Jose, CA, Feb. 18, 2003 - Tyan® is featuring their newest family of products, the Transport line, at the Intel Developer Forum. In addition to presenting the new series of barebones systems at the bi-annual conference, Tyan is displaying the Tiger i7501 S2723, Thunder i7505 S2665, Trinity i7205 S2662, plus other new products that were launched after the last Intel Developer Forum in September 2002.
At just 14 inches deep, the Transport GX14 B2723 is a space-efficient 1U server for dual Intel® Xeon™ processors. Utilizing the Tiger i7501 S2723, it has flexible LAN support, is lightweight, and front-mountable with no rails required.
The Transport FX27 B4520 is a 4U server supporting four Intel® Xeon™ processors MP, 24GB Registered DDR200 memory, seven HotPlug PCI-X slots, dual LAN, IPMI, and redundant power.

The Tiger i7501 S2723 delivers exceptional features and performance for all server requirements. It supports two Intel Xeon processors with 533MHz system bus with the Hyper-Threading Technology, Intel® E7501 chipset, remote management of IPMI functions, ATX12V and EPS12V compatibility, and Gigabit and Fast Ethernet ports.
The Thunder i7505 S2665 offers the fastest, most efficient way to import, manipulate, transfer and store both graphics and video. Its features include its 533MHz system bus with the Hyper-Threading Technology, Intel® E7505 chipset, AGP 8X/Pro50 graphics slot, plus integrated Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire, USB 2.0, and optional Ultra320 SCSI ports.
Another new product on display is the Trinity i7205 S2662. With high performance features such as AGP 8X, 533MHz system bus with the Hyper-Threading Technology, Intel® 7205 chipset, Gigabit Ethernet, dual-channel DDR memory, USB 2.0, and a six-channel audio with Sony/Philips Digital Interface (SPDIF), this solution meets all the requirements of high-end gaming and workstation markets.
