North America, October 14th, 2004 - Tyan®,a leading developer and manufacturer of single and multi-processor platforms, will showcase the latest in server, workstation, and desktop solutions at the Fall 2004 Intel Channel Conference (ICC) and AMD Tech Tour / AMD64 Experience events. These dual roadshows are running in parallel, taking place at key cities across North America for the benefit of channel resellers and distributors in both Canada and the U.S.
Products that are planned for display include single and multiprocessor server and workstation platforms using the latest Intel and AMD 32/64-bit technology in conjunction with highly-integrated features such as PCI Express™ multi-port gigabit ethernet, Serial ATA RAID, and a host of power and remote management options for a multitude of applications. In addition to motherboards, pre-built server barebones systems that are part of the Transport product line, will be displayed openly for customer viewing. The Transport systems are based on Tyan server motherboards which use Intel or AMD processors, and feature a wide variety of features including remote management, built-in Slim CD-ROM, active system monitoring options, hot-swap drive bays, Serial ATA and/or SCSI support. Customers are only required to add CPU, memory, and drives, and operation is instantaneous.
"Channel resellers and distributors contribute a large part of the IT industry's momentum towards new solutions and innovative applications," said Don Clegg, Tyan's VP of Marketing and Strategic Programs. "The Intel Channel Conference and AMD Tech Tour both offer excellent opportunities for Tyan to exhibit the latest platforms and system available to all customers."
