Tyan's Validation of Buffalo's Memory Modules Provides Server Builders With Next-Generation System Board Solutions
Austin, Texas - July 19, 2004 - Buffalo Technology (USA), Inc.,
an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of memory products, and Tyan Computer Corporation, one of the largest server and workstation board manufacturers in the world, today announced that the companies will work together on validation of Buffalo's high-performance memory modules on Tyan's range of entry-to-enterprise-level system boards. The relationship provides system builders with the ability to tap into a worldwide source for enterprise-caliber memory modules.
Currently, Tyan is validating Buffalo's 512MB to 1GB PC3200 and PC2700 modules. Buffalo will also work with Tyan to validate its memory modules on Tyan's new DDR and DDR2 motherboards that feature chipsets such as Intel's 915G and 925X Express chipsets.
"Tyan is one of the few manufacturers that server builders turn to for advanced system board technology so it is a unique privilege to work with them," said Steve Havis, Director of Buffalo Technology's US Memory Division. "By working with Tyan to validate our memory modules, we are ensuring our customers have access to the most sophisticated system board technology available."
"Buffalo has a solid reputation of providing top-of-the-line memory solutions for a wide range of system platforms," stated John Nguyen, Product Manager. "We began working with Buffalo in April, and together we have significantly expanded the validation program to include a variety of modules. This proves that their memory solutions complement our customers' needs perfectly, and we look forward to a successful relationship with Buffalo Technology."
Recently, Buffalo participated in the AMD Tech Tour, which provides an opportunity for system builders throughout the United States and Canada to hear the latest technical information about the full range of AMD's microprocessor products. Tyan chose Buffalo's memory modules as the memory solutions of choice for Tyan's system boards during the nationwide tour.
