Fremont, CA, May 23rd, 2003 - Tyan® today released the Tiger i7501S (S2725), a server platform targeted for 1U/2U rackmount and pedestal servers. Based on the Intel® E7501 chipset, the Tiger i7501S (S2725) provides stability and advanced feature sets at an affordable price. Some of its highlights include integrated Serial ATA, four USB 2.0 ports, PCI-X support, universal power compatibility, and optional IPMI server management.
The Tiger i7501S (S2725) offers many options for a range of server needs. In addition to allowing users to easily upgrade their storage devices, the integrated Serial ATA feature supports RAID 0 for speedy data storage. The Tiger i7501S (S2725) supports three independent PCI/PCI-X channels and the latest in USB 2.0 technology for efficiency in I/O bandwidth. With a 533MHz system bus and Hyper-Threading technology, this platform also accomodates demanding workloads that require fast processing speeds. Optional features such as Gigabit Ethernet ports and IPMI remote server management strengthens its function as a server platform.
