The Thunder i7501 S2720-533 Offers the Ultimate Performance of 533MHz FSB Technology
Fremont, CA, April 09, 2003 - Tyan® today launched the Thunder i7501 S2720-533, a highly integrated server solution designed for pedestal and rackmount applications. Based on the Intel® E7501 chipset with a 533MHz system bus, the Thunder i7501 offers powerful features such as Ultra320 SCSI with Zero Channel RAID support, dual channel Gigabit Ethernet, 12GB of PC2100 DDR Registered ECC memory, and five expansion slots.
The design of this platform maximizes the potential of the 533MHz system bus technology, the highest throughput achievable when accessing memory and I/O devices. The 533MHz system bus powers the Thunder i7501 to incorporate faster memory and Hyper-Threading Technology, which improves performance in server applications and multitasking environments.
